Enable two-factor authentication
Receipt Bot understands the importance of security regarding the integrity and privacy of your data. To provide an enhanced layer of security, you can enable 2FA in Receipt Bot for your account. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) prevents unauthorized access to your account and ensures the security and integrity of your valuable data. With 2FA enabled, any unrecognized device attempting to log in must provide a unique confirmation code, ensuring that only authorized individuals can access your account.
Steps to enable two-factor authentication
To enable 2FA for your account, please follow these steps;
Step 1 – Download the Google Authenticator app on your phone. You can download the app from the Play Store or App Store.

Step 2 – Login to the Receipt Bot web app and navigate to the user profile through the gear icon.
Step 3 – Toggle the ‘Two-Factor Authentication’ switch.
Step 4 – In the google authenticator mobile app, click the plus icon to add a new account.
Step 5 – Scan the QR code on the web using the camera opened within the authenticator mobile app.
If you cannot scan the QR code, manually copy the authorization code to the authenticator app. Enter the account name as “Receipt Bot”.
Step 6 – The authenticator mobile app will generate a 6-digit code confirmation code.
The code will be updated every 30 seconds, so you must enter it quickly before it changes.
Step 7 – Enter the 6-digit code confirmation code generated in Receipt Bot’s ‘Two-Factor Authentication’ pop-up.
Step 8 – Click ‘Next’ to proceed.
Step 9 – Click ‘OK’ in the confirmation pop-up.
Two-Factor authentication is enabled, and Receipt Bot will require the code from your authenticator app whenever anyone accesses your Receipt Bot account from an unrecognized device.
Limitation in Receipt Bot mobile app
Receipt Bot mobile app does not support the functionality of Two-Factor Authentication.
