Transitioning to the New Receipt Bot Platform

We’re excited to announce the new Receipt Bot platform, which has been built from the ground up to be faster, more powerful, and more intuitive than ever!
This is more than just an update; it’s a leap forward in our mission to elevate the accountants and enable them to work on more strategic tasks.

What’s New?

We’ve introduced several exciting features designed based on feedback from different users:

1) Line-item extraction from Invoices
Now, Receipt Bot can extract line-item details or VAT summaries from purchase and sales documents. We have made this feature smarter so that it not only extracts line items but also categorizes each transaction intelligently, applies a correct GST/VAT rate, and matches the line total against the invoice amount to ensure accuracy.

The line-item extraction feature will be available for 2 credits per page.

You can control whether to extract line items from Extraction rules. Please check the following video on how to enable line-item extraction. Currently, the line-item extraction settings are only available at the business level. Though our team is working to implement them at the supplier or document level, you can expect the feature to be available soon.

2) More Powerful Mobile Apps
Our mobile apps now support uploading purchases, sales, and bank statements directly from your phone. You can also review documents and add notes for colleagues while on the go.
Another widely requested feature for uploading multi-page receipts is also available in the mobile app.  
Our mobile apps now will be faster and more intuitive, giving you greater flexibility.

3) Improved Performance & User Experience
We’ve redesigned the entire platform, focusing on simplicity and ease of use. Enjoy a clean, modern interface that streamlines your workflow and makes managing your documents a breeze. Furthermore, the platform has undergone a full backend refactor, leveraging the latest technologies for faster, more reliable performance and enhanced security.

4) Advanced Analytics
Review and edit hundreds of transactions with just a few clicks, thanks to our improved analytics and review tools.
We plan to further improve upon it to enable accountants to identify and fix mistakes or errors more quickly.

5) Platform for Exciting New Features
The new platform sets the stage for many exciting and powerful features that we have in the development pipeline.

To implement these exciting changes, Receipt Bot will be briefly unavailable on:

During this time, the entire system, including the web app, mobile apps (iOS and Android), and APIs, will be offline.
We understand this downtime may cause inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience.

Using the New Platform

Navigating the new Receipt Bot is intuitive and straightforward. Here’s a quick guide to get you started:

1) Visit app.receipt-bot.com and log in with your existing Receipt Bot credentials.

2) Enable Line-Item Extraction: Enable invoice line-item extraction from the Business Configuration page under the Extraction rules tab. Please follow this video for more details:

3) Upload Documents: Upload documents to try out the new extraction capabilities of the platform. You can upload via the web platform or use Receipt Bot mobile apps, or send documents via email.

4) Experiment with Line-Item Extraction: Use the powerful new search functionality to locate specific documents. Upload invoices and experience the magic of automatic line-item capture.

FAQs

Q: Will there be any changes in pricing?
A: Our prices remain mostly the same, but we’re constantly adding new features to improve your experience. Here’s a quick overview of pricing for the new features:
Line-Item Extraction: This feature costs 2 credits per page when enabled. If you don’t activate it, you’ll still receive VAT summaries from receipts at no extra charge.
Crop Charges: We’ve enhanced our file organization AI, which will be free for existing users. However, for new users or those changing plans, there will be an additional charge of 1 credit for each document that needs to be split into multiple documents.

Q: How can I get support during the transition?
